Food establishments are located off the trail in numerous locations, most commonly visited food locations are as follows:
SCC Favorite! >>>Located almost immediately behind our shop at mile marker 4.2 is TDT Barbeque-- an excellent place for ribs, pulled pork, and other tasty southern fare! <<<
Around mile marker 9 there is a concession stand, open on weekends only, as well as restaurants in Downtown Powder Springs (look for a side path across the trail from the concession stand.): La Parilla Mexican Restaurant, KFC, McDonalds, Macland Wings and More, Johnny' s Barbeque, Martin's, among a couple others.
At Hiram, GA, near mile marker 15, there are fast food restaurants that can be accessed by exiting the trail to the North and riding to the nearest main road (side walks are available in certain areas). There is a Subway among others, which most can be seen from the trail.
At mile marker 37 at Rockmart, GA, Knucklehead Cafe, Bar L Barbeque, and Pizza Depot are all wonderful local establishments close to the trail. There is some short travel on roads, but Rockmart is a small town with little major traffic.
Once you make it into Alabama where the Silver Comet changes names to the Chief Ladiga Trail, you can find some great local establishments.
Approximately 13.6 miles across the state line is Piedmont, Alabama is Solid Rock Cafe. This adorable local establishment serves up tasty eats and even offers a room in the loft of the building for overnight riders!
